Hello! My name is Ashley Verkamp, and I run an illustration and design studio out of an eco-friendly straw bale house that I built with my own hands. In 2004, I graduated from Columbus College of Art and Design, and I've been a working design professional ever since. I've been assigned to a wide variety of design jobs over the years, which has included roles as a freelance illustrator, designer, layout artist, senior art manager, and art director. I take great pride in developing an open, collaborative, professional relationship with all my clients, and I'm self-motivated, enjoy problem-solving, and work well with a team or by myself.
I was raised in rural southern Indiana, where I was inspired by the beauty of the natural world, and I love to work on projects that bring me joy. I'm drawn to subject matter that pertains to nature, wildlife, spirituality, mythology, visionary art, geek fandom, and music. Through my creative work and unfolding spiritual path, I endeavor to bring a little more light onto the planet.
